At the top of the pyramid, things get complicated, and people become cutthroat and ruthless. Because at the top of the food chain, there’s no such thing as taking anything lightly—there’s no place for mercy. It’s either kill or be killed, with no in-between. To be specific, I am talking about the gaming pyramid. The closer you get to the top, the more hard work and precision you need. Competitive games have a ranking system, and only a small percentage of players ever achieve the highest rank possible.
The rest of the player base remains stuck in mediocre ranks, trapped in elo hell. But why does nobody talk about them? These players need help the most. And when it comes to the game with the biggest player base currently struggling in ranked, Marvel Rivals stands out. It’s the most popular hero shooter we’ve had in a long time, and today, we’re going to talk about how to escape Bronze rank.
If you feel stuck in Bronze and want to climb the ranks faster, one way to speed up the process is through Marvel Rivals boost services. Professional boosters can help you break free from frustrating losing streaks while also improving your gameplay. If you’re interested in taking this route, you can click here to buy and start your journey to higher ranks instantly.
Since most Marvel Rivals players are struggling at lower ranks, whether you’re in Bronze or not, this guide will help you figure out which heroes give you the best chance of ranking up. Even if you’re already above Bronze, this might introduce you to a new hero worth trying.
Best heroes as a beginner:
Since you are literally at the first step of the rank ladder it’s fair I think. that I consider you as a beginner player. So here are the best heroes that you could use as a beginner don’t worry I am going to give you an overview of each character so that when you pick that character you know what to do and how to create impact in the match.
The Punisher:
The first hero on our list is the punisher and he is the most straightforward character to play as an absolute beginner. If you are even remotely familiar with third-person shooters you will have no trouble in playing with him. The Punisher is pretty similar to Soldier 76 in Overwatch 2 since both of them are considered the most noob-friendly heroes in their respective games and both of them have a standard automatic rifle to use. Since he is a duelist and most new players like to play as an attacker he can be a good pick for you. Also, you can create impact without anybody else’s help which makes Punisher even more viable for playing in lower elos since there’s little to no teamwork there.
His abilities Are:
- Passive: Punisher’s passive is pretty cool. It lets him get a legal wallhack for 3 seconds which might not sound enough but it is kind of usable in 1v1 situations where your enemy is taking cover behind a wall-bang-able object. Three seconds are more than enough to kill that enemy with a wallbang.
- Vantage connection: his vantage connection which is a hook allows him to get to different angles and high elevated angles pretty quickly which makes it viable to get into different positions or to camp out and take kills from the sidelines. It is also great for getting out of trouble. The only downside with it is that the cooldown of it is 20 seconds. So you would have to use it with care.
- Culling turret: with his culling turret you can also cover down different angles to an objective while the damage it gives is not enough, it is more than enough to distract or finish low hp enemies. Also since the turret has 600 damage it can easily cause some decent damage before it gets taken out.
- Scourge grenade: to make things even more tactical the punisher also has a smoke grenade which covers up a 5-meter radius. His smoke grenade can help out for helping his low hp teammates out or to distract the enemies for a few seconds but other than that it does not have much use to it.
- The final judgment: his ultimate ability is that he can fire projectiles that hit instantly for 50 damage per hit. They also track their enemies. Which makes it ideal for players who do not have a great aim. Since the final judgment is his ultimate you have to make sure that you’re using it correctly and on time.
Venom:
The second best hero that you could use in your bronze lobbies is Venom and he is quite popular in those lobbies as well. He is a dive tank which means that you would be more effective while playing aggressively with him and diving into enemy frontlines than to take damage for your team. Now what I am about to teach you here will allow you to get more impact than 99% of the bronze players who play as Venom. I will talk about his abilities and how to use them to get more impact and implement them as you are going to perform much better than before.
His abilities are:
- Venom swing: Venom has a swinging ability just like spider man and the cooldown of it is just 8 seconds which means that you can use it every time you get into trouble although you only get one swing at a time. So the best bet to use the swing is to mix it up with your other abilities like frenzied arrival which will allow you to stun your enemy while you dive down making it easier for you to kill them.
- Frenzied arrival: this is the venom’s dive it stuns the enemies whenever you are trying to breach the enemy’s frontlines it allows you to stun every enemy within the proximity of 6 meters which might not sound enough but mixing it with your tentacles you can pretty guarantee yourself a couple of kills easily.
- Cellular corrosion: this is his second primary fire it lashes on to the enemies with Doctor Ock’s tentacle. Venom’s tentacles however slows the enemies down and they cause damage to the enemies if it lashes on to them a little longer making it great ability to couple with the primary fire while stunning them with your frenzied arrival.
- Alien biology: Venom’s simple wall climbing is nothing major. You can get pretty creative with it and I will leave this as it is.
- Feast of the Abyss: The Feast of Abyss is an ultimate ability of venom. It is great to use when encountering multiple enemies at once. It lets you get absorbed into the ground and after the timer runs out whenever you press the primary fire aka the left click you can eat as many enemies as you fit into your mouth. So the combo of swing dive and feast can be very lethal and if used correctly can even grant you a squad kill. It can go with almost every other ability of venom making it a very versatile ultimate.
Jeff the land shark:
So far we had a duelist, and a tank now to complete the roster we have gotten a medic which is none other than Jeff the Land Shark and the cutest character in the game. He is a super beginner-friendly character in the game. Since he is a medic his only concern is to give healing to his teammates and stay on the backlines which is ideal for beginners. This way they can learn the game without getting killed so often.
His abilities are:
- Oblivious cuteness: Jeff is the cutest hero in the game for sure but that comes at a cost and that cost is having the biggest headshot hit reg in the game making it much easier for enemy snipers to pop you out. his passive deals with that and reduces the critical hit damage by more than half. So even if you get shot by a sniper on the head you can still
swim around just fine.
- Primary and secondary fire: Jeff is a strategist and his only duty is being the healer for the team he does that very efficiently with his primary fire which has an arch type of aim so the further you are from your allies the more arch your primary fire will have. But the good thing about that is it has infinite range so you can heal your teammates from very far back given you get your aim’s arch right. His right-click infuses damage to the nearby enemies to the direct hit and also does a little bit of damage as a splash. So you can contribute to your team both ways.
- Healing bubble: healing bubbles are pretty much the same as we have seen in Valorant’s spike rush mode. They essentially are a collectible bubble of heals and whenever your ally collects them it gives them a boost in health as well a boost in the movement making it great for using at the start of the round as a movement boost or for using it to secure an objective and holding off the enemies.
- Hide and seek: Jeff has a slow movement and to compensate for that you can use his hide and seek ability which lets him use the walls and ground as a see and he swims in them. This makes it invulnerable for a brief time and it also provides heals and a 60% movement boost. Which is great for getting behind the allies or getting out of trouble.
- It’s Jeff!: his ultimate is a water tornado that eats and drowns everything in it which is in the vicinity of 20 meters. It provides a whopping 225hp heals per second while giving damage 25hp per second. You can use it to disrupt the enemy’s first line of attack or you can also use it in the mid-round since it provides great healing while displacing the enemies.
